Edward N. McKenzie, MD

Dr. McKenzie is a highly accomplished Internal Medicine physician with over 20 years of experience providing exceptional patient care across outpatient, inpatient, and consultative settings. Most recently, Dr. McKenzie served as a Staff Physician at Artesia General Hospital in Artesia, NM, where he specialized in outpatient clinic visits, preoperative evaluations, and collaborative consultations with advanced practice providers. Prior to that, he spent nearly 19 years as a Hospitalist Physician at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, NM, delivering comprehensive care in general medical, telemetry, and limited critical care units. Earlier in his career, Dr. McKenzie served as a Staff Physician with the Indian Health Service in Gallup, NM, where he expertly managed both inpatient and outpatient care, including intensive care management. Dr. McKenzie earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine in 1997. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson, AZ. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Utah. Outside of medicine, Dr. McKenzie is passionate about biking, photography, and exploring Native American culture. Dr. McKenzie joined FCCH in January 2025.
