Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or GED certificate, graduation from a technical school as a Medical Assistant, Laboratory Technician or equivalent and or six months directly related experience. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is preferred and CPR certification within 6 months of hire. Under the supervision of the Nurse Flow Manager within the Health Center, the Med Assistant I functions at the entry level of Medical Assistance in clinical and clerical support as part of a patient care team to physicians, midlevels and nurses who provide direct patient care at the health centers.
