Alyson Newe is a highly skilled Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) with over 30 years of experience in obstetric, gynecologic, and primary care. She has provided exceptional patient-centered care in high-volume hospitals, outpatient clinics, and military settings. Alyson's expertise includes advanced obstetric ultrasound, diabetic education, and surgical first assistance during cesarean sections and OB surgeries. Throughout her career, Alyson has demonstrated leadership in clinical and educational roles. At Kaiser Permanente, she co-founded and expanded a nurse midwifery program serving a region with over 6,000 annual deliveries. She retired as a Commander in the U.S. Navy Nurse Corps in 2010. Her experience in the Navy allowed her to provide primary and midwifery care worldwide, including humanitarian missions in the Indo-Pacific. Her dedication to mentorship has shaped the careers of nurse midwife students and OB residents. Alyson holds a Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Women’s Health and Nurse Midwifery from the University of California, San Francisco. She is AMCB board-certified, proficient in obstetric ultrasound, and committed to continuous professional development in evidence-based care and equity-focused practices. In her spare time, she is involved in nature photography, knitting/crocheting, and gardening. She will begin providing comprehensive care for women, including primary care, women's health, prenatal, and postpartum services, starting January 23, 2025.
