Minimum Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Food Science, Nutrition, Dietetics, or Home Economics with a minimum of nine (9) semester hours in Food Science or Nutrition. Bi-lingual English/Spanish is preferred. This position of the Special Supplemental Food and Nutrition Program, (WIC) Women, Infant and Children has a significant impact on approximately 8,500 Pregnant, Breastfeeding, Postpartum women, Infants and children in the City of Albuquerque and Bernalillo County. Its primary function is to provide client services by assessing medical data and nutritional risk in order to determine program eligibility and provide one on one and group nutrition education. This position is under the general direction of the Assistant WIC Director and the WIC Director.
