Program Description

WIC is a Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children administered by the United States Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service, and the New Mexico Department of Health, Public Health Division. See the locations below or visit for a complete listing.
WIC provides supplemental foods to eligible participants along with nutrition education, breastfeeding support and referrals to health and social programs.

Who is Eligible?

To qualify for WIC you must:

  • Be a Resident of New Mexico
  • Be a Pregnant, Breastfeeding, or Post Partum Woman
  • Be an Infant under one year of age
  • Be a child under 5 years of age
  • Meet Income Guidelines
  • Be determined as nutritionally “at risk” by a health professional
