First Choice Health and Enrollment Fair Set For This Weekend


FIRST CHOICE HEALTH AND ENROLLMENT FAIR SET FOR THIS WEEKEND

Fair Will Include Health Screenings, Information and Free Flu Shots for Youth

 

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - First Choice Community Healthcare will hold its Annual Health and Enrollment Fair on October 15 at the Alameda Medical Center from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In a continued effort to the community, First Choice will also have free flu vaccinations available for youth (6 months to 18 years) when registering at the event while supplies last. Visitors to the event will able to take part in free healthcare screenings as well as, individuals will be able to speak with staff about personal health needs.

 

Visitors that have questions about the federal penalty can visit with enrollment counselor’s to answer questions and help with enrollment information. The community will be also be allowed to schedule appointments for people seeking to enroll in the Health Insurance Exchange or Medicare. Enrollment for Medicare begins October 15 through December 7, 2016. Enrollment for the New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange, (NMHIX), begins November 1 through January 31, 2016. This event is also to schedule appointments for those seeking to enroll in Medicaid or Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
