First Choice Wins 2014 Quality Awards


First Choice earned a Clinical Quality Improver Award of $26,699 for improving on one of more quality measures. First Choice earned the Health Center Quality Leader Award of $47,199 for having the highest performance among all its peers in New Mexico using risk adjusted quartile rankings.

HHS Secretary Sylvia Burwell announced $36.3 million in Affordable Care Act funding was distributed to 1,113 health centers in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and seven U.S. territories. The four award categories were: EHR Reporter; Clinical Quality Improver; Health Center Quality Leader; and National Quality Leader.

These funds are to be used for on-going quality improvement activities and resources. Congratulations! to the 15 New Mexico Health Centers who received awards totaling $450,225.
